Camp Taconic is home to approximately 500 campers ages 7 to 15 and close to 300 staff. We are located in the beautiful Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Our staff comes from all over the United States as well as Canada and abroad. Our community thrives on the diverse backgrounds and cultures, which our counselors bring. We are all bound by one common thread: our passion to work with children.
At Taconic, we have a full program of activities. One of our premier program groups is Fine Arts! We have many activities within the arts, including Ceramics, Jewelry Making, Painting and Drawing, Fabric Design, Crafts and Woodworking. Fine Arts counselors work closely with our outstanding Arts and Tech team to instruct campers within an activity area. Counselors also help campers create amazing projects throughout the summer. During a summer at camp, counselors gain invaluable experience teaching, mentoring, working with children and more!
This is the perfect opportunity for college students looking for a summer job and internship. We provide room and board for the summer, a competitive salary, travel reimbursement, internship credit and it is an overall wonderful experience!
“As a counselor in the FAC for 4 summers, I loved helping campers explore their artistic abilities and inspiring them to create projects they were proud of – even if it meant making a (small) mess.”
