The Taconic community has been providing a nurturing camp environment for children for 90 years. At Taconic, children are valued and are encouraged to build self-esteem and confidence as well as everlasting friendships. Our dedicated, mature staff creates a warm and supportive atmosphere with expert instruction in a broad range of activities.

Taconic’s kitchen is a fantastic place to work. We have an incredible staff of dedicated professionals who produce meals for our 500 campers and 300 staff members. Our kitchen staff is led by our Executive Chef, 4-6 sous chefs, line cooks, support staff and servers. Our newly renovated kitchen has brand new appliances and ample work space.

Job Description:

Camp Taconic Virtual Tour
  • Work with Executive Chef and team to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for 800 people, 6 days per week.
  • Serve family style with multiple substitute bars, both hot and cold.
  • Room and board included.
  • Working 6 days a week.
  • Dates are flexible but ideally from June 1-August 31.
  • Salary competitive on the high end.
