We conduct tours for prospective families on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM over the summer. Our tours last approximately 90 minutes and are the ideal way to get a true sense of what the Taconic experience is all about.
While parents enjoy a private tour with a member of our Leadership Team, prospective campers (entering 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade) go around camp with counselors and other visiting children. They will get to see activities, visit a bunk, and even try out some of the fun for themselves! Every child will also head home with some Taconic treats and gear to remember their visit.
To arrange a tour, simply call our office to make an appointment. Because our schedule fills up quickly each summer, please call us as soon as you know when you would like to visit.

We also offer two Rookie Days each summer for future campers to experience a typical Taconic day! Rookies have a unique opportunity to take a journey through the life of a camper, experiencing the warmth and spirit that families have enjoyed for more than 90 summers.
Rookie Day begins at 10:00am and ends at 3:00pm. Parents drop their Rookies off in the morning and then return to camp for a personal tour.
Spots are limited, so please contact us as soon as possible to register your child for one of our Rookie Day sessions.
